What is ADHD coaching?

ADHD coaching is like having a personal trainer for your brain. We work together to build routines that actually stick, break big scary tasks into small doable steps, and figure out how your ADHD brain works best. Unlike therapy, we focus on practical strategies for your day-to-day life, not digging into your childhood—unless it helps you move forward.

How is coaching different from therapy or counselling?

Therapy is about exploring feelings, trauma, and mental health. Coaching is all about action, systems, and the “how” of living with ADHD. I’m not your therapist; I’m the guy who helps you get your brain and routines working today so life feels less like chaos on fast-forward.

Who is ADHD coaching for?

It’s for adults, students, or professionals who are tired of procrastination and self-sabotage, missing deadlines or constantly late, and stuck in that “I know what to do, but I can’t make myself do it” loop. If that sounds like your brain, you’re in the right place.

What do we actually do in a session?

Think of it like a structured chat mixed with a brain gym. We start by looking at what’s tripping you up right now, then break it into manageable steps and create a clear plan for the week ahead. Some sessions are about the bigger picture—routines and systems—while others are pure practical problem-solving. And yes, sometimes we celebrate just doing the laundry. It all counts.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals and how much change you want to see. Some people only need six to eight sessions to reset their systems, while others like longer-term support to stay consistent. We decide together. I’m not here to lock you into twelve months you don’t need.

Can ADHD coaching really work online?

Absolutely. ADHD brains love convenience. We meet on Zoom , and you can be at home in your comfy hoodie. There’s no commuting or awkward waiting rooms. Most of my clients prefer it because they can jump straight from session to action. Plus, where else are you going to speak to a Scotsman with an accent you can actually understand?

Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis?

No. If you struggle with focus, motivation, or organisation and it’s holding your life hostage, we can work together. If you do have a diagnosis, that’s great—it can help with things like Access to Work funding in the UK.

Will this fix my ADHD?

Nope—and that’s the point. ADHD isn’t something to “fix.” Coaching helps you work with your brain instead of against it. We focus on skills, habits, and systems so you spend less time feeling frustrated and more time actually living.

Can I get funding for coaching?

If you’re in the UK, you often can, through Access to Work if you’re employed or self-employed. I can guide you on how to apply so you’re not stuck paying out of pocket if you don’t have to.

How do I get started?

It’s super simple. First, book a free discovery call where we chat for thirty minutes to see if we click. Then you pick a plan that suits your life, whether that’s weekly or bi-weekly sessions. After that, we start coaching—and begin turning that ADHD chaos into clarity. The hardest part is clicking the first button. After that, we do it together.

Will you judge me if my life is a total mess?

Absolutely not. If anything, I’ll probably admire your creative chaos. ADHD brains are brilliant at survival and improvisation. I’m here to help you organise it, not shame you for it. I know how much of a mess somebody’s life can become, ask me how I know.

Can coaching be.. fun?

Yes! We laugh a lot. Coaching isn’t a lecture; it’s like teaming up with someone who gets your brain and actually enjoys seeing you win.

What’s the weirdest ADHD win you’ve celebrated with a client?

Someone finally changing the lightbulb in their bathroom after six months. We both cheered like they’d run a marathon. ADHD wins are often the tiny, ridiculous things that secretly make life a thousand times better.
